Medical Needling

Medical needling is a procedure that uses a medical needle roller to improve acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, and skin texture. It is most commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest and can be done on patients with all skin types. The roller is moved over the surface of the skin and penetrates the skin to stimulate collagen production. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes. We recommend numbing cream 45 minutes prior to treatment. After the procedure, your skin will be red with mild swelling, similar to a sunburn for up to 1 week. We recommend avoiding sun exposure until healed and holding off on makeup application for 24 hours after treatment. Most patients will undergo three to five treatments spaced every 4 weeks for optimal results.
