Chemical peels treat acne and signs of aging on the face, hands, neck, and chest. The goal of a chemical peel is fewer lines, a more even skin tone, brighter complexion, and smoother skin. You and your physician wll decide which peel will be best for your skin type and needs.
We recommend limiting sun exposure for at least one week prior to your peel and you may have to discontinue certain topical medications or products, especially retinoids. On the day of your peel, your face is prepped and the peel is applied in office. You may experience stinging and burning during the procedure. You will notice peeling after two days, which lasts for approximately one week, but moisturizer and makeup can be worn. Please also avoid sun exposure for at least one week before and after your peel.
